Cast Awayyyyyyyyy..

Sorry it’s so late everyone :( I didn’t get a chance to sit down and write what was on my heart! So here we go........... :) I’m going to tag team with my bestie Christy, so I’m going to add some of her stuff in!

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you”
-1 Peter 5:6-7

In society today the world is searching for someone or something to make them feel secure, something to help save them from the pain they are finding themselves in. People are finding themselves without work, without money, and without hope. We cannot allow our outer circumstances determine what we will accomplish. As Christians we need to RELY on God, we need to cast any fear and anxiety on Him. When we are anxious and fearful we cannot fully function in the things the Lord wants to accomplish through us. When we are fearful we find ourselves lacking boldness, not wanting to step out, and worried about other things less important. We stress and become overwhelmed, just feeling as if we need time away, when all we really need to do is give it to God. We are too busy worrying and questioning that we don’t even take time to really think about this verse. Like it’s blatant in this verse, CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
-Isaiah 43:18-19

Many times we find ourselves thinking about things in the past, which hinders the new things that God wants to do in and through us. By dwelling on the past we place a boundary on what we think God can do because of the previous mistakes or short comings we’ve had. We begin to place limits on a God who is limitless. Not only does thinking about what we’ve done bring anxiety and stress, but it blinds us from what God is doing in the present!

“But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
-James 1:6

Remember to believe and not doubt the power of God, we cannot place these limits on someone who is far greater than everything.
